Southern Company has partnered with several institutions within our service territory to better prepare high school students for a career in the energy industry.

The Gulf Power Academy at West Florida High School
A high school in Northwest Florida named the nation's "premier model" for small learning communities in a three-year curriculum, including traditional high school academic courses, which prepares students for a career in the electric utility industry.

Gulf Power Institute at Laurel Hill School
A kindergarten through 12th grade school in north Florida that features a curriculum based on the industrial electricity and applied welding curriculum from the National Center for Construction and Education Research.

Jenkins High School, School of Engineering
A high school in Savannah, GA that offers advanced engineering courses that are affiliated with Project Lead The Way (PLTW), a national Pre-Engineering curriculum.

Locklin Technical Center - (NCCER Electrical Program)
A technical center in Milton, FL that offers the NCCER Electrical program.
