Kristy Stringer, a military veteran and field operations technician with Southern Company Services in Valdosta, Ga., shares her story with G.I. Jobs Magazine, a magazine that supports service members through the military’s mandatory Transition Assistance Program (TAP).
In the feature story, entitled, "Power Move," Stringer describes how she became a Southern Company employee after leaving the military. She shares her job search strategies, what worked, what didn’t, and why she chose Southern Company.
"I am very honored and excited about doing something that might help other veterans transition," Stringer said.
In addition to the feature article in the March edition, Stringer also appears on the magazine’s cover.
G.I. Jobs Magazine distributes 75,000 issues each month to service members through TAP.
