Southern Company-Nest partnership expands

Southern Company announced a partnership with Nest on Tuesday to become the first energy company in the U.S. to offer Nest's third-generation product line to customers. Nest's newly designed products - which include the Nest Learning Thermostat, Nest Protect and Nest Cam - will give customers more choices, control and added convenience to better manage their energy use.

Nest's third-generation products help connect customers' homes and save energy. The intuitive technology offers remote access and system awareness with the Nest Learning Thermostat, enhanced safety with the Nest Protect and advanced video and alerts with the Nest Cam-delivering customers unprecedented control. Details about specific offers are expected to be released later this year.
