Southern Company Services, as agent for Georgia Power Company, is soliciting bids for Georgia Power's short and long term coal requirements for its CSX rail delivered plants. These plants include Bowen, Branch, McDonough, Mitchell and McIntosh. Georgia Power Company will also consider bids that deliver on the NS railroad to plants Branch and McDonough. Suppliers are encouraged to submit bids under both proposals. In addition, alternate term proposals are welcome and will be evaluated accordingly.
