Weighing and Sampling

Coal weighing and sampling is an integral part of the fuel quality assurance program. The field support for fuel quality assurance is provided by Production Support field representatives. Weighing and sampling inspection visits are made to evaluate and monitor weighing and sampling installations that govern for payment of coal and to ensure the proper implementation of all aspects of the weighing and sampling program for the system, both at the plants and the mines / loading points. Periodic testing of weighing and sampling equipment is done to ensure proper maintenance and operation. The Purchaser approves methods used to obtain representative samples and accurate analyses and weights. The analysis for each shipment governs for price adjustments and for compliance with other specifications for quality set forth in the Purchase Agreements.
