Southern Company requires suppliers to deliver structured, high-quality asset data to support the full lifecycle of generation assets. The D-18 Asset Data Delivery Standard establishes consistent expectations for how asset data is created, managed, and delivered across all projects.
- Asset data must be delivered alongside engineering deliverables and aligned with project design and documentation.
- Data can be provided either as:
- Standard deliverables (drawings, specifications, equipment data, and supporting documentation via import sheets), or
- Source system deliverables (databases, models, and native system files with embedded data).
- All asset information must align with Southern Company equipment identification requirements (D-11) to ensure consistent tagging and integration.
- Standardized import sheets define required data attributes.
- Southern Company’s Operations Data Analytics (ODA) team coordinates data transfer methods and supports suppliers through the delivery process.
