Southern Company announces quarterly dividend

Southern Company today announced a regular quarterly dividend of 60 cents per share on the company's common stock, payable March 6, 2019, to shareholders of record as of February 19, 2019. This marks 285 consecutive quarters – dating back to 1948 – that Southern Company will have paid a dividend to its shareholders that is equal to or greater than the previous quarter.
