Southern Company recognized in top 5 Military Friendly Employers list

<p>Southern Company is ranked No. 2 out of 290 employers on the 2020 Military Friendly Employers list by G.I. Jobs Magazine. &nbsp;This is the 14^th year that the company has been recognized, and the third consecutive year in the Gold Top 10.</p>
<p>Organizations earning the Military Friendly Employer designation were evaluated using both public and government data sources with responses from a comprehensive survey completed by the employer.</p>
<p>The company actively recruits veterans, service members and spouses by participating in military recruitment events and partners with military transition centers across the country. Veterans, National Guard and reserve members currently comprise approximately 10 percent of the workforce and 12 percent of new hires in 2018.</p>
